Permanent Mold Casting

PIAD focuses on manufacturing molds made of elemental metals rather than sand. This provides customers opportunities to increase performance and reduce cycle times. Among other characteristics, our materials and method produce refined grain structure, excellent heat and electric conductivity, superior castability and more.

Casting Conversions

Now a pivotal piece of our business strategy, casting conversion refers to utilizing PIAD's Chill Cast Process to reduce or eliminate secondary manufacturing operations. By doing this, PIAD can significantly impact your supply chain by reducing lead times and saving costs. To accomplish this, PIAD produces castings comprised of copper, copper-based and other elemental-metal composites to achieve near-net shape.

You don’t really understand a foundry like PIAD Precision Casting… until you stand in one.

Yesterday, I hosted my second round of Q1 town halls at PIAD. This time I was in the break rooms, across multiple shifts, just steps away from the heat, the noise, and the work itself.

And here’s what struck me.

Our castings are part art and part science.

Yes, we operate with precision. Yes, performance matters. Things like quality, reliability, safety, trust. Those fundamentals are non-negotiable.

But when you watch molten metal transform into something engineered to exact tolerances… when you see the craftsmanship in finishing, the care in inspection… you realize this isn’t just manufacturing.
As someone who has always loved art, I see it here. In the discipline. In the detail. In the pride PIAD people take in shaping our products.

Standing in the break room, speaking face-to-face with our team, helped to reaffirm our strategy.
2026 is a momentum year for us.

We are building from strength.

What impressed me most today was the ownership in
the room.

The questions.
The directness.
The pride.

We talked about how we will challenge each other over the coming year to live into our values.

One Team, Focus on Quality, Just Culture and Accountability, Transparency, and Sustainable Growth.

This year will be great.

Thank you to our teams who showed up, spoke up, and continue to shape the highest quality products for our clients.

Part art.
Part science.
All commitment.
