Alloy Selection

Our Products

We provide a variety of elemental metal-based alloys that are selected to properly suit our customers' needs. From copper-based alloys in the electrical industry to aluminum-bronze alloys in an array of industries, PIAD has the performance and cost-efficient solution for you.

Advantages of our Products

PIAD's usage of metal alloys instead of sand molds provides for meaningul results to our customers

High Heat Conductivity

PIAD's copper-based alloys provide industry best heat conductivity, perfect for the electrical industy.

Manufacturing Flexibility

Our aluminum-bronze catalog allows for alloys to be welded together, welded to steel, and more. In addition, our PIAD Chill Cast Process allows for foreign components to be incorporated, therefore expanding our product range.

Excellent Sea Water Corrosion Resistance

Several of our alloys are perfectly suited for the marine industry due to their performance and durability in sea water.

Superior Castability

Our special brass catalog boasts excellent castability which allows for increased geometrical complexity when configurating molds.

High Compression Strength

Among others, our aluminum-bronze catalog offers exceptional strength for parts requiring heavy mechanical loads.

Copper and Copper-Based Alloys

A perfect fit for high-conductivity castings, PIAD offers copper-based alloy options rated at 98% IACS or better that deliver reliable performance. Learn more about the benefits of copper and our many copper applications.

Aluminum Bronze Alloys

PIAD chill cast aluminum bronze alloys deliver steel-level strength with superior wear and corrosion resistance, making them ideal for pumps, valves, marine, mining, and heavy industrial applications. Paired with our PIAD Chill Cast Process, we can replace multi-piece steel fabrications with durable, weldable one-piece castings.

We offer a variety of special lead-free brass and copper-zinc alloys that provide capabilities for complex parts suitable for a variety of structural and potable water applications.

Foreign Component Incorporations

The PIAD Chill Cast Process allows for the use of foreign components to be inserted into molds prior to the casting process. This provides us with the ability to produce more intricate geometrical designs at a reduced cost. Click to learn more about the requirements and benefits of foreign components.
